Objectives of the Position
? Ensure Process Safety standards are maintained.
? Implement Group EHS Requirement and Guidelines
? Fulfilled Responsible Care Goals on Process Safety
? Ensure high quality Safety Reviews are performed for new capital investment projects and in existing facilities according to the requirements of the Group.
? Provide consultancy and support to the production plants to fulfill legal and requirements.
Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities
. Accountable and leader of a diverse project team in the execution of Plant modifications (MoC) and small to mid-size capital projects.
· Being the Process Safety (PS) representative and coordinate Safety Reviews for new capital investment projects and existing facilities according to the Requirements and Guidelines of the Group.
· Provide services on safety assessment on chemical hazard assessment, explosion risk assessment, production process, MOC (management of change) according to legal process safety requirements and local legal requirements.
· Provide services on Process Safety Management System setting up and audit according to company and local requirement. Ensure compliance process safety.
· Provide service on major hazard installations management according to local laws and regulation.
· Provide PS training as specialist to plant engineers on the process safety concept, requirements according to local legal requirements.
· Provide services on Mechanical Protect Devices inspection to support the integrity of process safety facility.
· Provide services on rolling out of legal Requirements on process safety.
· Provide services on root cause analysis of Process safety incidents. Implement process safety improvement programs based on KPI’s
· Provide services on sharing of lessons learnt and best practices of process safety related topics, e.g. fire incidents, chemical explosion, chemical release, process safety incidents, etc.
· Provide professional consultant services on various process safety topics to service recipients
Job Requirements
· Education: chemistry or chemical engineering or safety, Bachelor degree or above required
· Experience: no less than 8 years chemical production operation experience and/or multi-year experience in large capital projects.
· Be familiar with process safety legal requirement.
· Be familiar with Methodology of PHA (process hazards analysis) or similar methodology, such as HZOP.
· English CET4 or aboveskill, Uses appropriate language, communication styles and approaches to illustrate points (spoken and written) in English
· Be comfortable working with people from other groups or cultures and adapts their style to suit a situation
